We at IRIS love sport and 2023 was an exciting time for us, as members of our team had the opportunity to attend various sporting events across Europe.
In February, Christian Riedle paid a visit to Oberhof on behalf of IRIS for the International Biathlon Union World Championships, in which Norway topped the medal table.
In April, Selina Henrich joined Christian to witness a great weekend in a sold-out arena in Cologne, as our friends at Rhein-Neckar Löwen won the DHB-Pokal.
August was a busy month, with IRIS team members having the privilege of attending a variety of events. Peter Weber had the pleasure of joining our friends at the World Triathlon Championship Series event in Hamburg. An entertaining race in the Mixed Relay showed the athleticism and determination of participants, with the lead changing several times. In the end, Germany clinched the medal!
Christopher Lewe and Daniyar Ali meanwhile showed support for our client, the International Canoe Federation, as the 2023 Canoe Sprint World Championships was being held nearby in Duisburg.
Also, Peter joined Sandro Weber and Helge Petershagen in the capital to to witness the Berlin 2023 Hyundai World Archery Championships! This proved to be a great experience to meet clients, watch an exciting Olympic qualification event, and even to try out the sport themselves!
Another memorable event took place in October when Christian Riedle attended the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. Unfortunately, he did not manage to secure 1st place with his new racket! Instead, the Italian whiz kid Jannik Sinner emerged as the winner of the Erste Bank Open 2023.
